18 month mark

Hey!
Things have been good here. Nothing too crazy. Just doing the usual.

Wow it sounds very eventful there at home. Sounds like its been quite the week for WCCHS. Its great to hear how provincials are going.

I am glad you liked the picture of me on Facebook I will  try to continue to get classic picture of me on our mission page.

We have been working with lots of people and the work is a little slower here. I didn't realize how important reading was until I came to a country were a quarter of it cant read. It makes me feel smarter though! Its been interesting but fun. Especially in Berbice where the literacy rates are much lower. Maybe that would help kids want to read more when they learn how important it is to learn to read and be strong readers.

By the way the Haake's are awesome. We are working hard and preparing them for a baptism this coming Saturday. We have also been teaching and preparing Sister Geeta Tuckoor for baptism. She is the Branch presidents daughter and she finally feels like she is ready to take this step in her life. She is really cool. Her Boyfriend is really understanding and has moved back in with his parents so that she can be baptized. We are also now teaching him as well. His name is Victor. He is progressing really well. The only problem is if he can't get a job here soon he will have to work on a farm out in the bush where there is no church. He taught us that you must overstand the plan of salvation and not just understand it. We are trying to find new people here but they aren't quite as welcoming as in Canje. Still really good and everyone seems to follow through with their commitments a lot better here. I'm not too sure what the change is since the two towns are so close. Its been fun though.

Elder Gibson and I celebrating our 18 month mark last Wednesday at Zone conference.
