The people here are great and life is going well. I got to meet a sweet Rasta named Michael. He told us to pull on his dreads and they felt like a rug. He was cool. He taught us a little about Rasta and we taught him a little about the restored Gospel. He said he has made a covenant and a vow with God that he can't cut his hair. He showed us the vow in the bible in Numbers 6:1-10. He said his hair use to be longer but then the police arrested him for cannabis use and cut his hair for identification reasons but he is trying to grow it back. You meet lots of cool and crazy people here.
This week has been fun. We spent most of the time in New Amsterdam but did spend a little time in Rosehall. Got some great hot dogs in our trio.
We have been working hard preparing for our baptism and everything went really well. Everything fell right into place and the spirit was present through the whole process. It was really nice. Diana was able to bear powerful testimony both after the baptism and at testimony meeting of how the the gospel has changed her life.
My companion is Elder Wall from Los Angles. he is really cool and we are having a lot of fun. His Dad is actually Canadian and from Taber. He says he has visited Canada a lot and is related to a lot of Jensen's there. We should see some more baptisms coming up here pretty soon!
Love Elder Fisher
